{"id":850,"date":"2016-10-25T17:57:32","date_gmt":"2016-10-25T15:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.modelical.com\/en\/?p=850"},"modified":"2024-07-12T14:44:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T12:44:36","slug":"germanwings-memorial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.modelical.com\/en\/germanwings-memorial\/","title":{"rendered":"Germanwings Memorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Competition with sculptor Canduela<\/h2>\n<p>We have collaborated with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canduela.net\/\">sculptor Roberto Canduela<\/a> on the design and structural analysis of his Germanwings flight 9525 Victims Memorial proposal.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5288\" src=\"https:\/\/www.modelical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/16095_germanwings_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although not reaching the contest last stage, it has been an enriching experience, putting together artistic creativity, parametric modeling and technical skills.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-5290\" src=\"https:\/\/www.modelical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/16095_germanwings_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The proposal consists on a 20m high tree composed of 149 stainless steel pipes (as a metaphor of one branch per victim) crowned with a 1,5m diameter sphere.
