Industry Challenge

Construction projects are a source of potential problems for a developer when it comes to converting the predicted numbers at the initial estimation into reality.

The residential sector imposes tighter deadlines in the design phase than others. A large number of deliverables have to be produced and there is usually no time for a thorough review of the project to ensure that it meets all requirements.

Lack of definition, deviations in the calculation of quantities and lack of coordination between disciplines are common and lead to significant cost overruns and delays in projects with tight margins.

To avoid unforeseen events that can compromise margins, the progress of projects needs to be actively monitored. BIM adds a layer of control to anticipate problems and provide a clearer view of the status of projects, making them easier to track and review.

  • BIM management

We take care of BIM while you and the rest of the teams focus on the project

  • BIM coordination

Detect and solve coordination problems when it is cheaper, at the design stage in the 3D model, not in the site

  • Quality control and monitoring

We ensure that the models of your projects meet your requirements and suit your needs

  • Common Data Environment

Our services

With our experience, we help you define how BIM best suits your needs and guide you through the implementation process.

Your team is the key to success and must be involved from the start. We help allay their fears by showing how to access information quickly without having to learn complex software.

We also guide your collaborators to understand your new way of executing projects. We give them the resources to work the way you need them to, ensuring that your projects are standardised and don’t suffer during the change.

Throughout this process, we’ll help you optimise the review of ongoing projects, using tools that streamline this task, always adapting to the way you do projects.

Other areas of your company, such as business development or facility management, can benefit from the BIM information.

Control what matters to you from the beginning

Avoid deviations in the BOQ

Mistakes in the bill of quantities imply extra costs. Every element located in the model can be measured using a schedule, which updates automatically every time we modify that model. That helps teams to extract the BOQ, and also allows you to check the consistency between the model and the budget.

Control the areas

Areas are key for the feasibility of the project. Control them from the beginning. You decide which values are important to you and we will make sure those numbers can be easily extracted from the first sketches. From that moment, those values will automatically update once the model changes, helping you to evaluate designs based on the data is important for your business.

Decide on the design from the 3D

3D models offer a much better design understanding than the 2D drawings. This is something inherent to BIM and gives you the ability to evaluate different design alternatives in a more visual way.

Solve coordination problems at the design stage

Anticipate and solve coordination problems before starting the construction. Ducts and pipes that do not fit above the ceiling or clash with beams can be identified easier and more important, earlier. Disciplines coordination is solved in 3D, where you will have full traceability of every issue resolution.

Speed up design review

There are lots of design criteria to comply with in a project. BIM helps you to ensure that your project meets all of them. You can create a custom rule for each criteria (e.g. minimum area for "bedrooms" is 10 sqm), and software like Solibri will flag all elements that do not meet this rule.
